Winter Garden

The Winter Garden is the penultimate garden on the bottom terrace of the nursery gardens. The meandering path that takes you through the Wildlife Garden and Cornucopia garden eventually brings you through an arch into the Winter garden. Borders on either side of the path are filled with plants whose main season of interest are through the winter months and early spring.

I’ve used trees and shrubs with coloured and interesting bark which really stand out once their leaves have dropped in autumn. These are then under planted with perennials and bulbs that are evergreeen and flower in late winter and spring.
